Andy Carr

Andy has been a certified official since 1987 and has served as the USATF Long Distance Running Record Keeper since 2006. Andy began measuring courses in 1999 with his work at Atlanta Track Club & learned a lot from fellow employee & measurer Brantley Sherrer. Andy has worked closely with RRTC for many years in his work with the LDR Records Committee in getting US open & age-group records processed and ratified for USA Track & Field. Andy is a Master Level LDR official and has been a race referee at many LDR National Championship events & has been selected as an Olympic Trials finish line official (2016, 2021, 2024), a World Athletics finish line official (2022) for both road & track events & has been the co-coordinator of on-course officials at the last two Olympic Trials Marathons (Atlanta & Orlando).

Andy currently coaches high school cross country & distance track at Milton High School in suburban Atlanta (since 2004) while also continuing to work at Atlanta Track Club on their events team staff.
