New USATF Online Certification System
In the next few days, the USATF/Road Running Technical Council will introduce our new, online course certification system. This new online system is the product of over two years of development and testing funded by USATF. It will allow measurers to enter their measurement data and maps from any Internet connected computer or smartphone. It will allow you as certifiers to review the measurement, generate and stamp the map with the certified course logo, and send the certificate to your RRTC vice chair, all from your Internet connected computer or smartphone. Vice chairs will be able to review and approve the certificates and send them to the RRTC course registrar. The new system will completely replace our current practice of emailing data, maps, and certificates from the measurers to the vice chairs and to the course registrar.
Some of the benefits of the new system include:
The new, online system will go LIVE on Monday, September 16, 2019. At that time, all course measurers, certifiers and final signatories will begin using this new system. The new online flow encompasses the entire span of data submission from course measurement data entry to certificate issue. The old system of emailing measurement applications and certificates will end.
In order to achieve the September 16th cutover to the new system we will provide all certifiers with a letter that should be sent to all of their active measurers no later than August 6th. Certifiers may include in their email to measurers any additional information that they think will be helpful for the conversion to the new on-line system.
September 3, 2019 will be the last day for measurers to use the current system to send data to their certifiers. September 9, 2019 will be the last day for certifiers to submit certificates and maps to the vice chairs and the course registrar using the current system.
